Before any construction, alteration,extension, repair, demolition, or removal of any house or structure begins, this office must review and approve the submitted plans and specifications. All plans and specifications must be in a form and manner specifically required by the West Mifflin Borough Code. Generally speaking, a survey, a plot plan and a clean sketch is all that is needed for review purposes. However, depending on the complexity of the job, additional plans may be need to be submitted for review.

As a rule of thumb, residents should contact this office in order to obtain a permit prior to starting any work. One phone call or visit to the Borough office before you start your work can save you time and money in the future.

The Borough is willing to meet and/or work with any resident in order to ensure that your construction projects meets all code requirements and to ensure that the project is carried out in a safe manner.
